Episode 6: Sphere’s of a Clown

I stand behind balls.  I stand behind all things spherical.  I stand behind Team Balls on the Roll’s epic commercial.  Listen, I am fully aware of the tongue-in-cheek nature of such a concept.  We had very little time to construct a concept, menu and commercial, and quite frankly all three of those elements were well executed.  Our food across the board very well executed, plated beautifully and delicious. I loved our commericial.  It was quick, stupid and fun. We even ended with a catchy jingle.

The thing I am proud of most thus far is my “all in” attitude.  The selection committee asked for it two weeks ago and that’s what they’re getting.  100% Jeff, 100% of the time was my mantra.  I did not send a toned-down representative of myself to Food Network Star.  This has gotten me in trouble a couple times (balls, fiber-induced poops, knife throws, stage-jumps, tofu), but at least I’m being my true self.  Ask anyone who knows me.  That I am proud of.  And of of course, my fantastic meatballs.
